Why might it be important for students to learn with technology?

The reason it is so important for students to learn with technology is due to what the future holds. There aren’t many jobs currently that do not use some sort of technology. The older generations have to be highly trained to use this equipment and technology. The students being taught right now and from now on will learn with technology because that is what makes up the world, and they won’t need the training when they are out looking for jobs because of their previous knowledge. Cell phones, laptops, and iPods are part of student’s daily lives and these are just a few examples of the most common sources of technology used. Ultimately, teaching with technology enhances learning and gives students a tool they will use for the rest of their lives. Before this class, I already knew how important technology was for students, but the group projects we did deepened my awareness for this subject. I didn’t know you could use so many sources of technology in a classroom. I would like to see more specific examples of ways to bring these different technologies into the classroom.
