Type I and Type II Usage of Technology

Type I technologies are the technologies that aid in everyday teaching. They enhance what is already being taught. Three examples include: overhead projectors, television, and a whiteboard with dry erase markers.

Type II technologies are the technologies that teach us new things. Three examples include: the internet, podcasts, and mp3 players.
